Riley Green is a very good baseball player. He plays for the Detroit Tigers who have been having a very good season. He currently has over 30 home runs and over 100 R.B.I.s. A writer criticized him recently for striking out too many times. A lot of good hitters especially home run hitters have quite a few strikeouts. Mickey Mantle hit 536 homeruns during his career. He struck out 1710 times. You have got to swing the bat if you want to hit the ball.

I recently read a memoir by the actor Tom Selleck. The book is called" YOU NEVER KNOW".

Tom has starred in two very successful television shows during his career. [ He has also had a significant birthday.} Magnum P.I. and Blue Bloods. In his book he talks about being a poor student in school. He then struggled as a young actor for twelve years before starring in successful television shows and movies.

Some people find success very early for others it takes longer. The point is not to give up. There are a number of reasons why it may take some people longer to hit their stride. Some people find it harder to find the job or career that is right for them. Sometimes it is the wrong company or boss that can make it difficult for a person to be happy or successful at what they have chosen. It can take time do not feel discouraged!

Stay focused, Study hard, work hard and work smart. Do not be afraid to switch gears. You can change your career path, your job even your location if that is what it takes to find success and happiness.

A few other thoughts. Be persistent. It is good to be conscientious and detail oriented. Seek advice when needed but this is very important be very careful who you are getting advice from. Make sure the person you are getting advice from is knowledgeable in the areas you are interested in. Make sure they have your best interest in mind. Make sure you are not talking to someone who just likes hearing the sound of his own voice.

Stay away from people who like to spread negative thoughts. Do not give up!

One of the greatest baseball players of all time was Babe Ruth. He hit 714 homeruns in his career. Babe Ruth struck out 1330 times during the 22 years he played ball.

Keep your eye on the ball. Stay in the game. You will find success.

Good Luck!
