MONDAY MORNING DETROIT TIGER TALK BY RON TURETT

The Detroit Tigers did not have a good week! They should have had a good week, but they did not. The fans were disappointed. The Tiger fans thought the team was closing in on that wild card spot. The Detroit team fell on its face. The hitters didn't hit and the pitchers didn't pitch. The whole defense did not look that good. Riley Green was out with a bad hamstring. That hurt the team, but all teams have injuries. The good teams find a way to compensate
Dillion Dingler the teams star catcher is in a big hitting slump. He has had four hits in his last 56 times at bat. Hopefully he is going to get out of this slump very soon or it will be to late for this season.
The Tigers have won just two of the last ten games. They lost five games in a row last week. This leaves them with a record of sixty -one wins and sixty-nine losses for the year. That's a winning percentage of 469. They are in fourth place in the American League Central Division. There are thirty-two games left to the regular season. They have got to win a minimum of nineteen of those thirty-two games to have any chance of winning a wild card spot,
Two big series in Detroit this coming week. Three games against the Rays followed by three games with the L,A, Dodger. Tarik Skubal will be back next weekend pitching against the Detroit Tigers.
The Tigers have to play great baseball next week. There is no room for error! Everyone has to play very good ball. That means starting pitchers the bull pen, the entire offense and defense, has to show up play great and win. If they don't, I would say it will be over for this season.
Keep watching and listening. Try to support the Tigers this week. Maybe we can help them with this last-ditch effort to get the wild card spot.
